It is now known that despite carving a bloody swathe through Skyrim’s holds, the Tsaesci surrendered to Reman Cyrodiil after being subjected to his Voice. Prior to the end of the Third Era, it was thought that Reman Cyrodiil had pacified the invading Tsaesci and conscripted them into his army. The goals of the Tsaesci have only been recently discovered despite the long history of Tsaesci intervention in Tamrielic affairs. It is the Author’s opinion that these scales, as well as their martial arts, are what contributed to the misconception of the Tsaesci being literal snake men. The fact that the Tsaesci were covered in golden scales is well reported, and not worth going in to. An interesting anecdote told to me by the Steward at Castle Bruma, which I cannot corroborate, is that the person who recovered this journal also was witness to Tsaesci spirits, who walked and talked like me. I can no longer feel my legs.” This primary source, seen in person by the Author during a visit to Bruma, is genuine. In his notes, he clearly writes “ I think the boulder shattered my spine. On the 11 th day of the mission, he is attacked by what appears to be the Cyrodiilic ogre and has his spine shattered. The Tsaesci scout left a journal of his mission. One of the Tsaesci invaders during the time of Reman Cyrodiil during their campaign in Northern Cyrodiil. In fact, we have a primary source that corroborates this.

In all serious reports of Tsaesci activities in Tamriel, mention is made of them having legs. Most famously, the charlatan Carlovac Townaway’s opus “2920” presents a number of false information on the Tsaesci, mainly that they were half snake, half men who had a snake bottom and the torso of a man. No subject has been more hotly debated than that of the Tsaesci’s appearance. This annoyance and scholarly laziness has led me to begin this work as a way to educate the layman and give the proper respect that my Tsaesci forebears deserve, as any proper Nibenese would. Despite this, one cannot bring up the Reman Dynasty in good company without the inevitable utterance of the word “Akaviri” when speaking of the “vampire snakemen” of Akavir. It is a clear and concise book, which clearly shows the relationship between each of the beast-folks of the continent of Akavir. ‘Mysterious Akavir” has been a part of any scholar’s collection since it’s earliest recorded appearance some time in the 2 nd Era.
